Event announcement
The full-scale war destroys the economy of Ukrainian hromadas, increases social and economic inequalities, and critically impacts the environment. Along with new challenges, the war exacerbates social, economic, and cultural conflicts that were relevant even before the full-scale invasion. Involvement of hromadas in recovery will require more responsive and inclusive participatory mechanisms.
One of the important stages of engagement is establishing dialogue and interaction during discussion and making complex decisions in a situation of conflict of interests of different population groups, misunderstandings or mistrust between larger actors, as well as strengthening and supporting those groups whose voice is less represented in a hromada.
On March 30, from 14:00 to 16:00 Kyiv time, we invite you to a workshop about involving residents of hromadas in the discussion of sensitive topics and projects. During the event, we will talk about the possibility of a strategy to involve people in discussing the development of social and cultural infrastructure when there is a lack of resources; the development of social inclusion in multicultural hromadas; peculiarities of the involvement of displaced people; establishment of dialogue and understanding between various groups of people in the field of environmental protection.
