Event announcement
We are pleased to announce that the Ukrainian Urban Forum 2026 will take place in Cherkasy! This is the eighth forum, and this year we will explore what the concept of “nature” means today — amidst war, climate change, and the rapid decline of biodiversity.
- When? September 11–12
- Where? Cherkasy
- How? A two-day in-person event
- Working languages of the event: Ukrainian and English with simultaneous interpretation
- Participation in the forum is free
- Registration: forms.gle/d3PqdPG6TKuK3FDZA
This year’s theme is “After Nature.” Let’s reflect together on how war affects the environment. What might a “more-than-human city” look like? How can we develop and create “green” social infrastructure, and what challenges might Ukrainian cities face along the way? What are Ukrainian landscapes like, and how are they changing?
The forum will combine both vertical formats, such as panel discussions and presentations, and horizontal activities, including walks, workshops, and informal networking. In addition, the Ukrainian Urban Forum 2026 will serve as a platform for representatives of grassroots initiatives, local governments, research institutions, and international organizations to meet and exchange experiences.
