Analysis of private remittances in the first half of 2014 (the National Bank of Ukraine data)

Migrant remittances are more stable compared to other sources of foreign revenue. In some cases, transfers can grow even in times of economic or political instability in the country of origin. However, in Ukraine the economic downturn and military confrontation are accompanied by a reduction in remittances.
