The Supervisory Board is one of the governing bodies of Cedos, whose purpose is to protect the organization’s interests, oversee the achievement of strategic goals, transparency and adherence to the mission and values.
We highly appreciate the work of the Supervisory Board. We are grateful to its members who are ready to assist us in our strategic and operational development voluntarily and share their experience and expertise to make better decisions.
We welcome the new Board members and hope our cooperation will add new meaning to Cedos’ work and make it more effective. We are also grateful for their willingness to invest their efforts and time in developing Cedos, especially given the challenges caused by the war.
The new Board has already held its first meeting, where it heard a report from Director Ivan Verbytskyi and discussed current strategic plans and challenges in Cedos’ work.
We are pleased to introduce you to the new members of the Cedos Supervisory Board:
- Yuliia Bezvershenko, co-founder and co-coordinator of Science at Risk: “I have been following Cedos’ growth for many years and sincerely admire the quality of its research products, the ethics of research and teamwork, and the willingness to go beyond the usual boundaries of a research center to strengthen Ukraine”.
- Sofia Dyak, director of the Center for Urban History: “Cedos is one of the few institutions that has combined research, activism, and advocacy for qualitative changes in cities. The challenges we face require critical reflection and sustainable action. That is why it is important for me, as a researcher, an institutional leader, and a resident of one of the Ukrainian cities, to support the institutional development of Cedos”.
- Maryna Shevtsova, senior FWO Research Fellow at KU Leuven, Belgium, Director of the NGO “Equal Opportunities Platform”: “I have been working with Cedos since 2016 in various capacities, starting with an internship program for young professionals and working together on large research projects. I am very pleased to join the Cedos Supervisory Board”.
- Andrii Ianitskyi, writer and journalist, director of website development and digital platform at Espresso, head of the Sovsky Ponds Ecopark organization: “I am a big supporter of making decisions based on facts and calculations, based on research. And here, you cannot do without think tanks. Cedos is the most authoritative think tank in education, migration and urban development. Therefore, it is a great honour to be a part of this organization”.
- Oleksii Erinchak, founder of the Sens bookstore, co-founder of Sensor Media.
