Ukrainian Urban Forum 2026

The Eighth Ukrainian Urban Forum, “After Nature”, will take place on 11–12 September 2026 in Cherkasy.

“After Nature”. During the Forum, we plan to explore what the concept of ‘nature’ means today: against the backdrop of war, climate change and the rapid decline in biodiversity.

We invite you to join us in reflecting on how war affects the environment. What might a ‘more-than-human city’ look like? How can we develop and create ‘green’ social infrastructure, and what challenges might Ukrainian cities face along the way? What are Ukrainian landscapes like, and how are they changing?

To explore these and other topics, we invite you to help shape the Forum’s programme.

The Forum is organised by Cedos with the support of the Heinrich Böll Foundation in Ukraine. The main local partner is the Cherkasy City Institute. The main media partner is the urban platform Mistosite.
