The Eight Ukrainian Urban Forum will take place on September 11–12, 2026, in Cherkasy.
The main theme of the Forum is “After Nature”. We will explore what the concept of “nature” means today in the context of war, climate change, and the rapid decline of biodiversity.
We’re planning lectures on ecocide, discussions about the challenges industrial communities face today, dialogues on monocultures in Ukraine, workshops on sustainable and participatory planning, and much more.
The Forum programme combines various formats: lectures, discussions, workshops, and master classes. The informal part includes walks around Cherkasy, an urban-themed board game, and a film screening.

The Forum is organized by Cedos with the support of the Heinrich Böll Stiftung Ukraine and in cooperation with the Cherkasy Regional Military Administration. The main local partner of the UkrUrbanForum 2026 is the “Cherkasy City Institute” NGO. The main media partner is the urban platform Mistosite.
